I get it, being a journalist especially one who focuses on features, is not a sprint. It is a marathon. I know I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself. It is how I function and keep myself from apathy.
Now this week has zoomed by, the first two days was just withdrawal symptoms from being in this annoying city and shaking off the fatigue. The next couple of days have been spent trying to piece my first story together. Then I need to jump on my second piece before the psyche dies and the freshness of my memory withers.
Fingers crossed you should be able to read my stories soon. I just need to learn how to plan my time better and keep at it. I have some huge projects and stories coming up that are nowhere related with what I am doing now.
They require research and so I do have to exert pressure on myself to get the job done. And of course in the process get paid. I am trusting God that these stories pay off handsomely.
May the itching and endless reading, researching and endless keyboard punching continue!
